MSK is a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) community based mentoring program to aid first time pregnant/parenting young mothers between the ages of 13-19 residing in Brooklyn NY.
We provide substantial support for our young mothers, helping them restore and build self-esteem during their first pregnancy with the intentions of preventing a second pregnancy within their teen years.
Our mission is to enhance the self-esteem levels within our young mothers and help them become productive adults by:
Encouraging education
Developing career goals
Delivering family planning and contraception awareness
Description and/or History:
My Sisters' Keeper is the first mentoring program in Brooklyn to “proactively” attempt to change the mindset of our young mothers. We provide vital tools for our young mothers such as resources to ensure strong parenting, personal and professional skills that enable these young women to become self-sufficient.
MY SISTERS' KEEPER WAS FOUNDED IN 2005.
