Foster Parent Advocacy Foundation Inc
Our Mission It is our mission to help improve the quality of life for foster parents and children in foster care. We will be responsible for addressing the social service needs of the children in care, as well as the foster parents. At the same time we look for constructive ways to make things better with the foster care agencies to provide quality service. We are consistently open to finding new ways to achieve the mission and constantly seek ways to do our work and meet the needs of those we serve. We use our diversity to gain new perspectives and collaborate and help strengthen foster care agencies through training and organizational development. Our standard is excellence and we will always work to exceed expectations. We strive toward continuous improvement in all we do!
Description and/or History:
a new nonprofit organization started 2008 to help foster parent and children in foster care to get the services in order to help them.We want to support, educate, and empower both our foster parents as well as the children in care. We want to link our foster parents with information and provide services such as: advocacy, training, outreach, legal services and connections to community resources. We want the foster parents and children to know that they have extra support and quality, devoted people who will work with them and for them. The families of our communities need our help and we would like to partner with the agencies to help create solutions and better methods of communication between the foster care agencies and the foster parents. We want to help strengthen the quality of service that is provided to the foster parents. The foster parents are in dire need of support as they are not getting the proper services from the agencies. please help us to help them. We have several positions that need to be filled such as Partnership Coordinator who advocates for foster parents. Recruitment specialist who recruits foster parents by giving presentation at other community base organizations. Educational Coordinator who provide workshops to foster parents and youths. Advocate coordinator who works and supervises the youth advocates. If your passionate about helping children this may be your chance to do so.
