Logo The LEAGUE

The LEAGUE’s mission is to change the world by empowering young people in NYC and beyond to get in the game by giving thoughtfully of their time, treasure and talent. Making their community and world a better place.

Description and/or History:
The LEAGUE is a school and web-based system for service learning that builds character and inspires young people to "do good" in their community, the nation and the world.

The LEAGUE offers free, state-coded curriculum and resources to teach core subjects with a focus on giving, character, respect and leadership. Our model also provides a system for tracking community service activities and recognizing students, so that they stay engaged.

Many of the world's most complex and difficult problems like hunger, pollution, literacy, and prejudice can be found on most every continent. We believe an effective way to address these problems is by empowering young people to take charge of making a difference starting in their community. Changing one community can feed change into adjacent areas, starting a movement and, eventually, a global and cultural shift.

Our youth can be the force that makes the difference in our communities if they believe in "doing good" with both their hearts and their minds. The LEAGUE provides the platform to help cultivate even more the next generation of civic leaders and advocates.
