To help all, especially the young, gain a greater understanding of the world and its people through hostelling is the mission statement of Hostelling Internationl. H.I. is a non-profit-organization through-out the US for the last 75 years.
Description and/or History:
Hostelling International New York provides accommodation to young independent travelers from around the world and promotes intercultural dialogue, exchange, and understanding through the hostelling experience. As North America's largest hostel, HI-New York hosts close to 100,000 guests each year, and we are welcome the world with people from over hundred different countries.
