NYC & Lower Hudson Valley Clean Communities' (NYCLHVCC) mission is to encourage private and public sector businesses to convert fleets to use alternative fuels, alternative fuel vehicles, and advanced vehicles, inform all citizens of the benefits associated with implementing policies, practices and the usage of technologies that reduce regional greenhouse gas emissions, support the advancement of greenhouse gas emission reduction technology s, and serve as a resource to the regions workforce to support and grow a local economy that is run on clean fuels and vehicles.
Description and/or History:
New York City & Lower Hudson Valley Clean Communities, Inc. (NYCLHVCC) is a 501c3 organization that was incorporated in 2007. As a US Department of Energy Clean Cities coalition, NYCLHVCC is tasked with providing support and management skills necessary to advancing the region’s economic, environmental and energy security through building local public-private partnerships towards promoting the use of technologies and practices that reduce petroleum consumption throughout New York City and the Lower Hudson Valley.
