The Artemis Project
The Artemis Project is an animal welfare organization that helps animals in crisis. We provide services and support to companion animals and their caretakers.
Description and/or History:
We began The Artemis Project in 2001/2002. Since that time, we have helped hundreds of animals with medical care and finding new homes, spay and neuter, and feral cat assistance. We started a volunteer program in Fall 2008 for socializing the cats who await adoption. Our cats live at Lincoln Square Veterinary Hospital until they are adopted or put in foster care. Our founder has been a feral colony caretaker since the inception of our organization. We make every effort to help people who need assistance with a rescued pet and we offer to provide courtesy listings on Petfinder for people who want to get the word out about their adoptable pets.
