Riverdale Senior Services is committed to assisting older adults to live healthy, active, independent lives, at home and within their own communities as long as possible. RSS also supports families and caregivers in meeting this same goal.

Description and/or History:
RSS has been in existence for 35 years, organized by a group of volunteers and community leaders that wanted to be sure that community seniors had a place to go, nutritious meals and social services to assist them in their later years. The organization has grown and now has a transportation program, including a handicap accessible bus for trips and local transportation and taxi service for medical rides. A sliding fee scale adult day program for people with cognitive loss was opened in 2000. RSS also has a Comprehensive Community Health and Education Program and an on staff RN.
