To promote greater involvement in social, political and educational matters. Provide mutual assistance, social progress and cultural betterment of our community. Organize and host Annual Queens Columbus Day Parade. Maintain an office to serve the diverse needs of the community.
Description and/or History:
Founded in 1971, as a response to the rising needs of the Italian-American community. We are a non-profit, tax exempt community based organization that has assisted thousands of individuals, over the years, in immigration, foreign pensions, 5 K run to help drug abuse, soccer camp and Italian cultural events. On Saturday, October 10th we will be hosting our 30th Annual Queens Columbus Day Parade with Grand Marshalls NYC Police Sgt Frank Ventura and Brother Stephen LaMendola President of Holy Cross High School. 12th anniversary of Italian Nights at Athens Square Park, Wednesday nights-during the summer free concerts.
