Our social service agency provides no-fee comprehensive care management to frail, homebound elders in Yorkville, Carnegie Hill and East Harlem. Our mission, since 1972, is to enable community elders to continue to live safely and independently, with dignity, in the comfort of their own familiar home and community.

Description and/or History:
Search and Care was established on Manhattan's Upper East Side as a no fee non-profit social service agency dedicated to providing the community's elders with the supports they require to age in place. Our team of care managers and support staff are assisted by 100+ volunteers, graduate interns, retired financial professionals, and a dedicated Board of Directors.
Volunteers are essential to our mission and perform various roles, whether in direct contact with clients
-- for regular home visits for companionship, shopping or medical escorts -- or participating with fundraising events and providing office support.
