Organization Details:
Workmen’s Circle MultiCare Center is a comprehensive program of care. We provide medical care, skilled nursing, dietary, rehabilitation, social activities and religious observances to our residents of our community.
Description and/or History:
Workmen's Circle was an organization set up by immigrant laborers who wanted to collectively make their lives better. They set up social programs, outreach networks, camps etc for those in need. The nursing home was originally set up so when the older members needed a place to live out the rest of their life, a place would be there for them. The facility changed from serving those who only needed limited health related services to one that provides services to people who need skilled nursing services.
