The British Memorial Garden Trust is gifting a truelly garden to the City of New York, the British Garden at Hanover Square

The Park celebrates the unity and friendship uniting the UK and USA whilst honouring the British victims of September 11th 2001

The Park motto is Reflect, Remember Rebuild and seeks to help in the revitalisation of Lower Manhattan

Description and/or History:
Formed in 2003, The British Memorial Garden announced plans for the 6.75 million dollar capital project which has been funded by the Anglo American community through donations from individuals, corporations and foundations.

Ground was broken in 2005.
The Park reopened in 2007 whilst the final stages of the project were undertaken

The long term care of the Park is now important to the Trust as they seek to ensure a Conservancy is in place to help in the long term care of the Park
