Organization Details:

We are a NYC Public Elementary School. Our vision is to give our students the best education available even though we are in an economically depressed area in Brownsville. We want to provide them with technology training especially in the areas of science, math and computers.

Description and/or History:
We are a new school that opened in the Fall of '08. We have a focus on science and are working to develop the teachers' skills in this area to help us better serve our students. We have a partnership with Queens College through their GLOBE program. The GLOBE program is a worldwide program centered on the environment. We are connected with countries all over the world by the intranet. this is a very exciting program and we are in the beginning stages of developing our participation.

This year we also worked hard on reaching out to the community and involving the parents. We want to help our parents to volunteer more and give them a chance to help their families at the same time. We have Learning Leaders in our building and we welcome the parents input.
