[View Volunteer Opportunity
]The GiveGoodGet Project is designed to foster a greater sense of unity and trust in our neighborhoods by recognizing good Samaritans for contributing to their communities in positive ways, big or small. We are looking for volunteers to take to the streets to highlight some of the ways every-day people are making their neighborhoods stronger and more supportive, and award them for their good citizenship.
Description and/or History:
Volunteers will identify and interview Samaritans doing good deeds about what motivates them to make their community a better place and then thank them for their work with a small token of appreciation. The footage will then be featured on our blog, where the photos, videos, and stories will have the ability to inspire webviewers to be proactive in their communities, too.
We are currently looking for volunteers residing in New York City for the summer who can give anywhere from 5 to 40 hours a month to volunteer with us. There are a lot of perks to this opportunity: meet other like-minded individuals, use your creativity for social change, and be featured on our website for your help! In addition, volunteers will receive great prizes for their involvement.
If you would like to be part of this new and exciting way to spread positive energy around, please reply with your name, contact information, desired time commitment, and reason why you want to get involved.
