Living in crucial times cause for drastic measures, revolutionizing in an ever changing time, we plan to keep course with the times restoring values, discipline and respect from the grassroots. We understand the deterioration of our community, knowing the consequences and realities of life if we continue unsighted. “We will Reconstruct Our Village”.
Description and/or History:
The Reconstruction of a Village is a nonprofit community based program federally chartered 501-C-3 established in 2007 that is open to all youth between the ages 12 years to 21 years of age living within the communities of Astoria, and L.I.C Queens NY. The purpose is to provide assistance to parents, by providing a wholesome cultural recreational, academic and intervention initiatives as a means of empowering them. Storing community growth with a myriad of opportunities through our structured programs and deterring them from crime violence and deviant behavior. Our organization will allow the young people to confront the problems and concerns that plaque their community, by providing the tools they would need to succeed in tomorrow’s changing world as well as a safe facility
