Our mission is to assist recent immigrants to enhance the quality of life in their newly found home.
Description and/or History:
To fulfill our mission, we provide information/referral Assistance, education (ESL and Comupter), housing (NYCHA Application and SCRIE Etc.) assistance, escort/advocay (entitlements), and economic development (includes Job Training) programs. There programs are implemented in culturally sensitive and language specific manner.
Our agency was established in 1993 to address unmet needs prevailing among the Korean elderly immigrants. In 2003, we amended our name from the Korean-American Senior Citizens Counseling Center, Inc. to the Korean-American Counsleing Center, Inc., to expand target population and service areas.
