The largest nonprofit agency serving seniors in Greenwich Village, The Caring Community's mission is to assist and empower seniors in a manner that fosters independence, dignity and respect.

Description and/or History:
The Caring Community is a nonprofit agency that provides a wide variety of social services to the elderly of Greenwich Village. We serve lunch to hundreds of seniors every day; we have classes ranging from Advanced Italian to Stretch & Tone; we have a team of Social Workers that is dedicated to connecting seniors to their benefits and entitlements, as well as a host of other case assistance issues; and we have Volunteer, Money Management and Homebound Repair programs. The Caring Community has four centers in and around Greenwich Village and lower Manhattan.
