ihi is a psychotherapy center and training institute, that was established in 1973 to offer professional services to the LGBTQ community, their families and friends.

Description and/or History:
We offer a full range of psychotherapy and counseling services, including various therapy approaches, and use a sliding fee scale. We also have a walk-in clinic, and offer community education programs.
IHI was founded in 1973 as a 501c3 organization. It has served many thousands of clients since its inception, offering affordable, professional therapy. It also functions as a training institute- providing training in psychotherapy to graduate social work students at all the city's social work schools, and to graduate psychology students in the NY area.
