Blood Donor Program Mission Statement:
Support the blood and platelet transfusion needs of adult and pediatric patients at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) by motivating the greatest possible number of people to donate at MSKCC, educating them about the critical role of transfusions in treating cancer and encouraging repeat donations by providing donors with excellence in care and service.
Description and/or History:
Memorial Sloan-kettering Cancer Center is a preeminent institution for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure of cancer. The Blood Donor Program is vital in educating the community & family & friends of patients about the critical need for blood & platelet donations in the treatment of cancer.
Memorial Hospital was founded in 1884. It serves the needs of adults & children from all over the world.
