Spirituality for Kids (SFK) is an organization with a mission: to stop the suffering and chaos in the lives of children so that they can grow up as clear-minded, purposeful, and happy human beings. With SFK, children have the opportunity to learn how to make wise choices for themselves, to care for others, and most importantly, to shape their own lives. Description and/or History:

Overall Experience

the best thing I've ever done

Volunteering as a facilitator for SFK has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. Not only do I feel that I am making a huge difference in these kids' lives, but I have also met and become friends with the most wonderful people. I honestly think I get more out of volunteering than the kids do - but it's probably pretty even.

Amazing Opportunity and Look Forward to Doing it Again!

Spirituality for Kids hosted a FunDay in Harlem a few weekends ago. I volunteered in the 'Greeting Room'. The event provided awareness of the upcoming classes by having children and parents participate in hands-on acitivities.
The SFK staff was warm, inviting, and the entire event was an amazing success!
