Mission Statement: To enhance the socialization of our elders who reside at Cobble Hill Health Center. To promote productivity, to reinforce independence and dignity of our elders.
Description and/or History:
Adopt A Grandparent Program: Was created to address the needs of our seniors at Cobble Hill Health Center who desire individual attention. We seek to match our seniors with dedicated people who are willing to volunteer their time as well as their lives to enhance the lives of our elders.
We seek to serve one hundred seniors with the gift of companionship and social activities. The program year is May 2007 to May 2008. Applications are now being accepted.
Cobble Hill Health Center, Inc is a not for profit skilled nursing facility that has existed since 1976, originally as St. Peters hospital. Cobble Hill has provided long-term care and short-term rehabilitation for many years and most recently specialized care (Alzheimer's disease, Dialysis Unit, Cardiac Unit). The mission statement of Cobble Hill Health Center is to enhance the quality of life of our residents by providing exemplary care. The Adopt A Grandparent Program falls in line with the mission statement of the organization as Adopt A Grandparent Program seeks to enhance the quality of life for our residents.
