CCM's AmeriCorps Leadership & Educational Attainment Project (LEAP) has been established through funding from the New York State Commission on National and Community Service. Like other AmeriCorps programs across the United States, LEAP engages people of all ages and backgrounds in addressing their community needs. CCM's cadre of 20 members across the nation that serve the country, focusing their efforts in the areas of education, environment,public safety, and human needs.

Description and/or History:
Through AmeriCorps LEAP, CCM advances its mission of empowering youth and adults, from poor communities by engaging them in critical community buildings efforts focused around education, health and leadership development. AmeriCorps members are tutors in classrooms with children and teenagers grades k-12th grade. Other AmeriCorps members oversee their programs such as Youth Court, Drama, Focus, Graphic Design, Newsletter, Video & Music Production, Fashion Design and much more.
