As an Education Assistant you will be involved in the development of educational tools based on primary sources in the holdings of the National Archives.

Responsibilities will include identifying materials from the holdings, developing learning activities, matching state and national curriculum standards to National Archives' documents; developing workshops and programs for teachers and/or students; and carrying out related outreach activities.

This position requires attention to detail along with a good working knowledge of various Microsoft Office computer software applications.
Volunteer applications may be submitted at any time. When an application is received it will be reviewed and all qualified candidates will be called to arrange for an interview.
The National Archives is responsible for the safe keeping of our nation's historical documents. Strict security guidelines are followed and all volunteers must agree to a background check.
