Volunteer Opportunity Details: |
|
Help a helpless cat awaiting adoption. Foster a cat or kitten in your home for two-three weeks until "room" opens up at the KittyKind adoption center.
KittyKind is a no-kill, all volunteer, non-profit, cat rescue group. Its adoption center is in space that the Petco Corporation donates in the Petco store, 17th Street and Broadway, Manhattan. KittyKind adopts over 1,500 rescued cats a year, into loving homes. www.kittykind.org
When space is full at the adoption center, foster parents provide temporary care. This opportunity is great for people who travel a lot and cannot commit to full-time care, for people who want the company of a pet but not on a full-time basis.
Please let me know if you're interested, and we can discuss the details further. Your home helps to save a cat! Thanks.
If you love cats but cannot commit to full-time care, fostering is a wonderful alternative. There is a foster coordinator whom you can contact with any questions regarding cat care, or any other general questions.
