Outreach Volunteer, Latino Community
Position Summary:
Assists Latino Outreach Coordinator in the delivery and implementation of American Cancer Society’s cancer screening programs covering breast, cervical and colorectal cancer.
Essential Functions:

1. Answers telephone calls via the Latino Hotline, providing information and referrals to local screening services.
2. Attends portable screening events and provides clerical assistance to complete registration forms.
3. Provides office clerical support with mailings, telephone calls and other administrative duties.
4. Provides translation assistance as needed.
5. When appropriate helps raise awareness of early detection and prevention among underserved populations in Queens County.

Position Requirements:


1. Fully Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) required.
2. Excellent communication skills, including strong public speaking.
3. Able to work with diverse populations and within a team structure.
4. Computer proficiency.
Relationships:

Reports to Latino Outreach Coordinator.
