Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Looking for professional theatre artists and adults with extensive performance background to work as volunteer teachers and builders of Youth Onstage! The program offers young people, ages 14 to 21, the opportunity to perform on stage in plays that have something to say about the world and its future.

Volunteers organize and audition new students each semester and design and teach classes in all the basic aspects of performance. They work to build a cohesive ensemble and to help students become comfortable working together and encouraging them to break out of their habitual behaviors and try out new performances.

Should be individuals with college-level (or higher) training in theater and/or extensive professional theater experience, although no previous teaching experience is necessary.
