Volunteer Opportunity Details: |
|
The Jericho Project has a Vocational/Educational department, which assist residents in becoming employed and maintaining there jobs through counseling and other related services. In addition to this we are strong in promoting education. We have noticed that some of our residents have educational barriers, which limits them in obtaining good paying jobs. After several meetings with our Vocational/Educational team we have discovered that we are in need of volunteers to tutor adults in reading and academic studies. Our team believes that starting here is the key for that resident whose educational limitation is reading or basic college studies.
The Jericho Project is looking for volunteers who are willing and skilled at teaching literacy and basic academic studies. It is important that our volunteers display sensitivity to our adults who are in the need of educational services.
