Mission:
HEAF is an education and youth leadership organization that works to help motivated students develop the intellectual curiosity, academic ability, social values and personal resiliency they need to ensure success in school, career and life. HEAF identifies students in middle school and supports them until they are successfully graduated from four-year colleges through a variety of after-school, Saturday and summer educational and youth development programs.

Position Description:
HEAF is currently recruiting mentors to work with our gender-specific youth leadership program. We are seeking male and female mentors to work with the Rising Brotherhood and the Unbreakable Sisterhood, our leadership programs for young men and women similar to a fraternity and sorority, respectively.

Volunteer Requirements:
• College or Graduate student with experience in youth leadership
• Interest in working with our students in a variety of capacities

Volunteer Responsibilities:
• Guiding students through the process of running their fraternity/sorority
• Supporting students at meetings, community service initiatives, and events

All volunteers will be required to attend an orientation session. The orientation will address HEAF’s policies, and procedures, adolescent development and working with youth.
