Volunteer Opportunity Details: |
|
One of the most important components of our Middle Ground program is the daily homework assistance and Literacy enrichment our students receive. Volunteers are desperately needed for the success of this program as they provide individual attention to our students, many of whom reside in the impoverished community of East New York, Brooklyn. Volunteers will work with 1-2 students at a time under the supervision of the Campus Volunteer Coordinator. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop meaningful, long-lasting relationships with Groundwork for Youth participants.
Volunteers must commit to at least 1 session (2 hours) per week and must complete all HR forms, which include background checks. A recent medical & TB test is also required. High School volunteers are exempt from some HR requirements.
