Event Planning Intern at Mount Hope Housing Company:
Job Duties
*Help plan and execute events
*Maintain budget for event
*Create marketing materials
*Write press releases and media advisories
*Secure in-kind product donations and sponsorships
*Track communication with contacts
*Maintain RSVP lists
*Secure media for events
The internship can be for 3 to 6 months. Times are flexible because we work around a student's schedule. Upcoming Events: Grand Opening of a Community Center, African American History Celebration, and 2nd Annual Golf Classic.
Qualifications:
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Able to use MS Word and Excel

The Mount Hope Housing Company is a non-profit, community development organization that provides affordable housing as well as youth services, employment and job training, real estate development and family asset building programs to residents of the Mount Hope community in the South Bronx.
