Eco-Happy Volunteers Needed

I'm interested in this opportunity

We are seeking outgoing, eco-happy docents to staff our Waterfront Information Center/Bookstore in Hudson River Park and help at the Going Coastal booth at various events in the New York City area, connecting people to coastal resources and getting the word out about NYC’s coastal environment.

Docents will be working at the Center staggered shifts from Thursday to Sunday, and holidays where the work includes, but is not limited to:
• Staff the Waterfront Center during open hours. Handle bookstore sales and petty cash.
• Interpret Hudson River & New York Harbor waterfront information for Center visitors and public.
• Assist and help develop presentations and exhibits at the center.
• Prepare/deliver guided tours and presentations to visitors and small groups.
• Facilitate online social networks, community outreach and public education at the Center.
