Volunteer Opportunity Details:

I'm interested in this opportunity

Fort Greene Park serves a diverse community and offers a variety of volunteer projects. The most visible are the gardens at the Park’s entrances. There are seven entrances that contain a total of 18 gardens. Volunteer tasks at the gardens include, planting (seasonally), weeding, mulching, amending the soil, and installing erosion control or new fencing. Another area for volunteer assistance is combating soil erosion on the steep slopes that make up the park or with spreading mulch around the base of trees. Finally, there are other horticultural areas around the park that can use some T.L.C. from caring volunteers. Each project has a different focus. Come out and join us.

All training is provided on site.

Volunteers must be 16 years old or older. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a guardian over 18 years old.
