Volunteer Opportunity Details:

The Opus 118 Harlem School of Music has an immediate opportunity for an unpaid and/or college credit External Relations Intern. This opportunity is a unique internship opportunity, with significant responsibility and a real chance to impact our organization. There is regular interaction with staff and constituents as well as flexibility to create your own initiatives.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
◦ Together with the staff, work as a team to develop a strategic plan for institutional development and external communications.
◦ Assist in coordinating all development activities, create a development calendar, and oversee complete donor records and files.
◦ Help organize and direct annual individual gift campaign.
◦ Coordinate corporate and business solicitations for sponsorships.
◦ Write foundation, corporate, and government proposals and ensure that reporting, recordkeeping, and ongoing communications is maintained.
◦ Oversee external communications to ensure that the mission and artistic excellence of Opus 118 is projected with clarity and wide visibility.
