I'm interested in this opportunity

African Services Committee, the oldest non-profit organization serving and supporting African immigrants in NYC, is seeking an intern to put web and graphics skills to work helping us enhance and maintain our current website, newly launched on a Joomla platform.

Tasks include maximizing homepage interface, adding new sections and working on navigation, editing images, integrating video collateral, and researching and recommending new modules and features as necessary.

Experience in Joomla, Dreamweaver, HTML and Photoshop is required. Background in design is preferred in order to help maintain existing look & feel of the site and optimize existing photo/video archive.
This opportunity will provide valuable experience in using the internet to help a well-established non-profit take its online presence to the next level, advancing the profile and issues of the communities we serve. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in using graphics and the Internet for issue advocacy.

We are unable to provide a stipend, but will work with any academic credit requirements.

To apply, please send a brief email introduction, with resume and links to relevant work to info@africanservices and include “WEB INTERN” in the subject line. No phone calls, please.
