Give Out Benefit Information to Clients

I'm interested in this opportunity

We need more volunteers to work at the sites we work in - places where low income people gather - food pantries, the Unemployment Insurance office, public housing community centers. We are at these various sites 2 hours/week. We do outreach to the waiting customers, screen them for government benefits, and give them the correct Information Sheet from our Resource Notebook. You'd be working with 2-3 other volunteers and helping clients access benefits.

We train all of our volunteers once a month at an evening training session. This is not required, but it is advised.
