Volunteer Opportunity Details:

I'm interested in this opportunity

When was the last time painting was fun! Here is your opportunity to have fun painting while making difference in two ways!

  1. You beautify a school
  2. You will be a role model to a kid with NO future commitment

Please join 'Street Project' and 'Publicolor' in painting PS 139 in Brooklyn! You will be matched with teenagers. You do NOT need to know anything about painting at all. We will teach everything you need to know.

This is a golden opportunity for both volunteers and students to share in an unforgettable and unique dialogue that we view as informal mentoring. Since we are teaching good work habits, we ask that you model excellent behavior and a strong work ethic with our students

We will provide lunch. However, in order to help defray the cost of lunch we ask that the volunteers donate $10 per person. Thanks in advance!

Please wear painting clothes and shoes. We use odor-free latex paint that will wash out of your hair and skin but not out of your clothes. We will provide gloves for painting.

This project runs between 10:15am and 2:45pm including the lunch break!

We encourage participation of all skill levels. Each person must be at least 18 years or older, agree to the terms at http://www.streetproject.org/terms.php and would need to sign up individually http://www.streetproject.org
