BECOME A FOSTER PARENT FOR AN ANIMAL IN NEED!

The Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals and the Safety Net Program are working together to develop a foster care network for the pets of people in crisis.

As our economy worsens, and people fall victim to foreclosure, eviction, and homelessness, an increasing number have been forced to relinquish their beloved pets simply because of circumstances beyond their control.

As well, due to incidents of domestic violence, fires and illness, many people just need a safe, temporary place for their animal until they can get back on their feet.

Often, individuals and families in crisis have few options but to give up their animals.
These animals most often end up at a shelter where they risk euthanasia.
