Board Composition
The GPFA Board of Directors is currently comprised of 14 highly diverse members from a variety of backgrounds. The GPFA Board works in close partnership with the Executive Director and serves as the governing body of the organization with fiduciary and governance responsibility for the long term health and effectiveness of the organization. The Board meets approximately 4 times per year in New York City with more frequent committee meetings.
Current Need
As GPFA's programs continue to expand, we wish to add an additional member to the board who will bring financial/accounting/auditing expertise and experience. This new board member would serve on the Finance/Audit Committee and help ensure that systems and procedures are in place and followed to manage and control the financial accounting, treasury, auditing, reporting, and budgeting requirements of the organization. An MBA or CPA designation is preferred. Experience as an accountant, auditor, financial manager, or CFO is desired, as well as prior experience with international non-profit organizations. We are seeking an individual who will be committed to work with fellow board members and staff to help a rapidly growing organization manage its growth.
