How Can You Change The World From Your Cubicle Today? ACT Now. Join The E-Mail Revolution.
Active Compassion Transforms (ACT) is a non-profit organization seeking mentors for high school students living in the challenging environment of Cape Town, South Africa. Through the use of a unique e-mail mentoring platform, you can communicate with students in a different part of the world, encouraging them to complete their education and enrich their communities. All it takes is 1-2 hours (2-3 emails)/month. At the culmination of the program, ACT will sponsor mentees who successfully complete the program to travel to New York to meet their mentors and partake in job shadowing and volunteer opportunities.
If you are over 21 years old, love learning about different cultures, and want to make a difference, we invite you to consider becoming a mentor. To apply online, visit https://act.imentorinteractive.org/. Applications are accepted through February 22, 2010.
