Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Scope of Work: This person will assist the Youth Program coordinator in all operational areas of African Refuge Youth Program. The person must be dedicated to helping teenage youth develop the skills they need to lead a successful life. Essential Job Functions:
• Welcome and greet clients at youth center.
• Provide information about services and programs provided at center.
• Conduct intake, registration, enrollment into youth program.
• Maintain daily intake log, time sheet, sign-Ins
• Maintain client files.
• Create opportunities for donations such as free museum trips.

• Interest in working with at risk youth and the refugee/immigrant population.
•Communication and people skills.
•Ability to deal with difficult clients and populations, cross-cultural relations, and interpersonal skills.
