Share a sunny morning or afternoon with a young person at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center/Rutland Nursing Home!

Our Long Term Care pediatric residents require mature, caring volunteers to accompany them to our lovely courtyard during the warmer spring and summer months. This is an opportunity to read, play and listen to music outdoors, and bring a smile to a child's face.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, emotionally mature, and be able to engage with children who are dealing with severe disabilities.

Volunteers will be undergo a general orientation and training specific to the tasks assigned.

All prospective volunteers must undergo a criminal background check, a drug screening and furnish a negative PPD test for tuberculosis (taken within the past year) or a negative chest X-Ray.
