Volunteer Opportunity Details: |

The purpose of this volunteer program is to provide assistance to patients being treated in the Emergency Department, their family members/escorts. Volunteers will interact with family members/escorts keeping them appraised of the patients' progress. Volunteer will provide only non-medical information. Duties include escorting patients and or family members to treatment areas, providing general information to persons waiting in the Emergency Department, assisting medical staff with patients as needed.
Must be 18 years of age, have good communication skills. Bilingual helpful. Volunteers will volunteer for up to 4 hours per shift. Completion of the Caring Links training program required. All volunteers must have an interview, medical clearance including drug test, and attend an orientation.
