Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Legacy Corporation is a major provider of educational and after school programs to low income youth of New York City. Our primary purpose is to provide an outlet of educational and performing arts programs to cultivate youth and students of the New York City Department of Education.

Students and youth of NYC are constantly under siege by a diminishing city budget a growing recession and a growing push to close schools and cultural programs.

The Legacy Corporation is now looking for passionate candidates willing to play an intricate role on our board of directors. Candidates should be personally in tune and interested in making a positive impact on the lives of the teens and youth that need it most.

We are looking for individuals with development, board recruitment,governance, fund raising,and outreach to schools. We are open to all candidates interested. We invite you to reply to this opportunity to sit on our board. If you dont have prior experience but want to volunteer; we still welcome you as all kids can use the help.

Attending Board Meetings, typically once a month in New York City. Fund raising, advocating for the organization, helping with community outreach, etc. Candidates should be age 21+.
