Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Be The Difference In A Child's Life. Help FPAFoundation to complete its mission: "To Do Whatever It Takes Because Our Kids Are Worth It"

We are in need of volunteers interested in the child welfare system with a specific love and passion for children in foster care.

Volunteers will be responsible for conducting outreach in the community by going to the various foster care agencies and surveying the foster parents.

Volunteers are needed to attend the foster parent support groups during the day and evenings hours to inform the foster parents in attendance as to what FPAFoundation can provide them.

Volunteers are needed to recruit other adult and youth volunteers and recruit individuals interested in becoming foster parents.

We want to educate, empower and serve both our foster parents as well as the children in care. We want to link our foster parents with information and provide services such as advocacy, training, outreach, legal services and connections to community resources. Volunteers will be trained in MAPS (Model Approach to Partnership & Parenting) and will have the opportunity to train foster parents according to this model within six months to one year.
