Light The Night is an annual Leukemia & Lymphoma Society event to raise funds for cures. It is New York City's night to pay tribute and bring hope to thousands of patients and their families. Funds raised through Light The Night Walks support the work of hundreds of the world's best and brightest researchers in their search for better therapies and cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
During this highly visible events, participants carry illuminated red balloons, survivors carry white balloons, and gold balloons are carried in memory of loved ones lost. "Light The Night" is New York City's night to celebrate and commemorate lives touched by cancer.

Volunteers can work in shifts during the day and evening of the walk, carrying out essential duties like registering participants, distributing food, preparing balloons and assembling the Lights of Hope Wall.
