I'm interested in this opportunity

Girls Inc. seeks Volunteer Workshop Instructors to run workshops with our after school participants at The Urban Assembly Institute of Math and Science for Young Women. Instructors will deliver one to three workshops in their area of expertise. With full computer, gymnasium, science, music, art, and classroom facilities available instructors will share their skills and knowledge with our girls in a hands-on setting.

Interested individuals will have substantial experience in and knowledge of the subject matter they wish to teach, and will be prepared to facilitate engaging sessions with groups of fifteen girls at a time. Potential instructors should have an interest in working with youth and be comfortable working with middle school students.

Instructors in the areas of movement, sports, technology, science, music, and health are highly desired. Applicants should have an interest in working with youth; experience working with middle school students is helpful but not required. Applicants must be willing to commit to delivering one to three workshops during the ten-week period from October to December. This position requires a love of learning, flexibility, creativity, energy and passion for inspiring girls to be strong, smart, and bold.
