The Respite Bed Program is a network of volunteer-run shelters located throughout Brooklyn and Queens that provide homeless adults with a complete dinner and safe bed for the evening. Each site serves between 5 and 15 guests. Dinner Hosts prepare and serve dinner and help clean-up the kitchen.

All Respite Bed volunteers are fully trained. Dinner Hosts serving alone must be 15 years old. Younger volunteers may serve with their parents.
