Volunteer Opportunity Details:

Asian Women In Business (AWIB), a non-profit organization, is preparing for the AWIB 14th Annual Leadership Awards Dinner on Tuesday, October 20th at The Hilton New York, 1335 Avenue of the Americas, in midtown Manhattan.

It is our primary fundraiser for the year, and approximately 500 will attend. This event is the only one in the country that celebrates successful Asian women entrepreneurs and corporate leaders, and champions of the community.

We are seeking volunteers on or before October 20th to assist with the successful set-up and execution of this event.

On October 20th, volunteers are needed between the hours of 11:00 am and 10:00 pm. We’d like volunteers for a four-hour stretch at minimum. Volunteer activities will include:

• Assisting with set up of decorations, table settings and displays
• Handling registration at the door
• Collecting payments (cash, check and credit card charges) for
silent auction and raffle items
• Monitoring the silent auction area
• Selling raffle tickets
• Other miscellaneous functions

Also, there will be a contest raffle ticket sales that evening. The person who sells the most will be rewarded with great prizes!

We have many opportunities to get involved before October 20th. If you are interested in volunteering in our office, in the weeks leading up to the Annual Dinner, please contact us as soon as possible.
