The school year has officially started! For iMentor, this is a very exciting time of year because we know that over 2 thousand people will be meeting and working together to improve the lives of young people in New York City.
But unfortunately, we have a problem. We have over a hundred boys who are expecting to meet new mentors this year –mentors we don’t have yet. That’s why we really need your help.
Please help us by encouraging your male friends and colleagues to n sign up to be a mentor! Their first step if to fill out the online application at https://imentor.imentorinteractive.org/survey/intake/mentor/.
Mentor provides a flexible and meaningful way to make a difference in the lives of high school students from underserved communities in New York City. iMentor matches adult volunteers one-on-one with students (mentees) based on shared career or personal interests.
Mentors and mentees are required to correspond once a week via email and meet in person once a month at iMentor-hosted events.
Volunteers must be at least 21 years old, and must live OR work in the New York City metropolitan area.
iMentor requires a minimum of a one year commitment to our program, and two, three and four year matches are also available.
