The Goodguide Mentor Program serves to provide youth with mentors who:

  • Serve as a positive role models and confidants
  • Build relationships by planning and participating in activities together
  • Be willing to share information on your career and explore career options with your mentee(s)
  • Strive for mutual respect
  • Build self-esteem and motivation
  • Help set goals and work towards accomplishing them
  • Be respectful of the mentee's time, opinions, and decision-making
  • Serve as positive role model by modeling desirable behavior(e.g.patience, tolerance, and reflective listening)
  • Be comfortable and able to establish appropriate boundaries with the mentee and his or her family
    • Prior mentor experience
    • Good communication skills
    • Prior peer interaction experience
    • Written Application
    • Criminal history and child protective services registry check
    • Personal Interview
    • Drug Testing
    • Provide three personal references
    • 10hrs of training and orientation
