WET Productions, is currently reviewing submissions for interns for the following programs: WET’s Risk Takers Film Series, WET’s annual LOVE Benefit.. All applicants must be able to commit at least two full days (10am-6:30pm) in the office, although three full days is preferred.

These are high responsibility and extremely rewarding internship opportunities that require excellent phone, writing, communication and organizational skills. Interns will assist in the office, participating in all aspects of non-profit management and production including fundraising, corporate sponsorships, grant research, donor research, company development, educational programming, and more.
Internship 1: Marketing and Special Events interns for WET’s annual LOVE Benefit.

LOVE is a performance benefit featuring short plays on the subject of LOVE written by leading female writers, read by celebrated actors, followed by a huge after party. Last year’s LOVE was held at the Angel Orensanz Foundation and featured Debra Messing, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Blythe Danner, John Lloyd Young, Maulik Pancholy and more.

Winter/Spring 2010. Seeking dynamic, committed individuals who have experience in and/or who are interested in: Marketing, Corporate Sponsorship, PR, and Event Production.

The Marketing and Special Events intern will report directly to the Assistant Benefit Producer, and the Creative Director & Executive Producer of WET. He or She will assist in the pre-production and production of WET’s annual LOVE Benefit. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in special events with a high profile VIP event while supporting a non-profit that produces media which challenges female stereotypes and advocates for equality.

Candidates must possess confidence with a strong can-do attitude. Must be savvy, courageous, kind, committed, and communicative. Superb phone skills, writing, communication and organizational skills are a must. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Photoshop is also a plus.

This is a high responsibility and extremely rewarding internship opportunity that requires a creative, organized and out-of-the box thinker. If you are not willing to get your hands dirty than you need not apply!

Internship 2: Outreach, Development and Educational Program Internship for
WET’s Risk Takers Series

WET’s Risk Takers Series is the educational division of WET Productions. It is a free media-literacy and leadership program for teenage girls. The program uses film as a lunching pad for discussion to teach girls how to view the media with a critical eye as well as skills that will help them to make empowering choices.

Winter/Spring 2010. Seeking dynamic, committed individuals who have experience or who are interested in: Non-Profit Development, Outreach and Education, Production, Sponsorships, Grant Writing, and Fundraising.

The Outreach, Development and Educational Program intern will report directly to the Assistant Producer, and the Executive Producers of WET. He or She will assist in the pre-production and production of WET’s Risk Taker Series. Candidates must possess confidence with a strong can-do attitude. Must be a strong, self motivated, savvy, kind, trustworthy and communicative person. Superb phone skills, writing, communication and organizational skills are a must. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Photoshop is also a plus.
